The Features
3D Touch
The biggest new feature the Iphone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus have is the 3D Touch. Which is similar to the Force Touch on the Apple Watch, enabling users to make "peek and pop" gestures on their screen to access certain short-cuts or preview content, such as text messages, e-mails, appointments etc. There is also a new Taptic Engine inside of the iPhone 6S that enables kinesthetic communication so you get touch-based responses when using 3D Touch.
12 MP Camera
The new S-series comes with an improved 12-megapixel rear facing camera that supports 4K video recording and a 5-megapixel front facing camera, handy for those who either have one of the latest 4K smartTV's or enjoy taking their selfies. And speaking of selfies the front facing camera now comes with it's own ''flash'' solution, whenever there's low to no light, the front display will flash itself for a split second working like the traditional flash does.
Another addition is the Live Photos that comes with it, which turns a video into a GIF (images that move). Which can then be set as a wallpaper meaning that you can set a moving wallpaper on your new iPhone 6S spicing it up a bit from your traditional imagery.
Processor
Although not a complete innovation of any kind it is still remarkable to notice that the new A9 processor that comes with the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Is up to 70% faster than the iPhone 6 and Plus model in terms of your usual computing tasks and even up to 90% faster when gaming or other graphical tasks. So for those of you who are looking to have solid gaming experience (do I hear Angry Birds?) on a mobile phone, this would be the iPhone to go for!
